Welcome to the Lifeprints Blog! My name is Shandon Smith, and I am a lifestyle photographer in Gainesville, FL. I specialize in portrait photography of real moments... The tender look between a mother and child. The innocence in a child's eyes. The energy between an engaged couple. All of these are the prints we leave throughout our life. All are meaningful. All are beautiful. All are uniquely ours.

This blog follows my personal and professional life. I'll post pictures from recent sessions, funny (and often challenging) situations with my husband and 4
year old son, and just basically anything that I want to share. It will give you an opportunity to see who I am and get to know me better.

I love having visitors and love it even more when they leave comments! So please, feel free to drop me a note and show me some love! Thanks for stopping by!

Yikes!

OMG! I can't believe how long it's been since I've blogged. I'm so ashamed!!! To be honest, I have been so busy trying to balance everything. (If you have any tips, PLEASE feel free to share!) I am trying to keep things in order at home, do my job at church, be a wife and mom AND run my photography business. I'll find the right balance, just please be patient as I figure it all out. :)

I've had many sessions that I promise I'll share. In fact, we just returned from a weekend at the beach in St. Augustine. I had some sessions scheduled (thanks mom and dad for helping w Bray!), as well as some down time for just me, Shawn and Bray. I couldn't believe it, but it was the FIRST "vacation" we'd taken that was just the three of us! It wasn't even 24 hours, but we had so much fun...visiting Brayden's Lighthouse (aka St. Augustine Lighthouse -- he thinks it's his and I just can't argue with him when he's so certain!), going to the beach...twice, riding the carousel and just having fun as a family. That's definitely one of the most important things I'm thankful for this season!
Stay tuned... I PROMISE I'll be blogging more frequently!!! Until then, here's a snapshot this really nice man took of us this morning on Vilano Beach. :)
