Go Shorty, it's Your Birthday!

The thing about my birthday, is we celebrate it ALL MONTH! Okay... mostly because so many other people have their birthday in July too. But I prefer to think it's all for me. You know... just like the fireworks. My birthday is the 4th of July, so naturally the fireworks are for me, right? Well, on Shawn's side of the family, we celebrate more then just my birthday. Here's the breakdown... Dorri (Shawn's aunt)- June 30th (Being the day before July, we count it as a July Bday) ME! - July 4th Peggy (Shawn's mom) - July 12th Amber (Shawn's neice) - July 16th (also my Aunt Julie's birthday) Carolyn (Shawn's Stepmom) - July 19th Samantha (Shawn's neice) - July 21st Grandma Smith (Shawn's grandmother) - July 26th Get the idea? Anyway... the local Birthday Girls were taken out by Chastity and Dawna for a fabulous day! We first started out at Dawna's house with mimosas. Then, Marcus (Amber's hubby) was our chauffeur and drove us around town. For lunch we went to the Wine and Cheese Gallery and had the yummiest wine, cheese, fruit and sandwiches!

There is never a dull moment with us.

Add some wine and we'll REALLY talk!

After lunch, we were taken to Grand Nails for pedicures! Fabulous!!! They are so sweet there and they always do a great job. After that, we went over to Peggy's house for dinner for an amazing dinner. It was such a wonderful day that we decided to do it every year to celebrate all of our birthdays!

From left to right - Dorri (Shawn's mom's sister), Amber (Shawn's sister's older daughter), moi, Peggy (Shawn's mom), and Samantha (Shawn's sister's younger daughter)

Nana (Shawn's mom's mom) and Dawna (Shawn's sister).
This was Nana's VERY FIRST PEDICURE!!!

Chastity (Shawn's brother's wife).

This was NOT her very first pedicure! ;)

Check out my perfect little toes! You have to admit, they look pretty spectacular! The ladies at Grand Nail are fabulous!

I am so blessed to have such wonderful in-laws. I love them so much and value our family bond as well as our friendships. Love you girls!!!

On my actual birthday, I had a photo session with an old friend. (Stay tuned for my post of this fun session!) I came home to red, white and blue cupcakes with two candles -- a 3 and a 1. I LOVE my husband for this! Actually, it was an honest mistake (or denial) because he thought it was still 32. And if he was still 32, then I was turning 31. Sorry, honey, you are 33 and I'm 32. Still, it was nice! Brady Bug was so proud!

Then, we went over to a friend's house for a cookout and swimming. More cupcakes!!! Check out the boys chowing down on these!

How adorable!!!!!

THEN... later in the month, my friend and PHENOMENAL photographer, Kenny Kim came into town to visit me...just to wish me a Happy Birthday! I'm telling you, photographers are great people! Well... that's not entirely true. Photographers are great people, but Kenny didn't come just to visit me. He was actually in Orlando for a convention and then came up to Gainesville to visit some friends. He invited me out to dinner with them and we had a great time hanging out and talking (in between the times I had to get Brayden to sit back down at the table). I'll be seeing Kenny again in September for David Jay's Freedom to Succeed Tour. Needless to say, I'll be able to actually hold a conversation with him since Bray Man won't be with me.
