The "right" spot... Ponte Vedra, FL Maternity Photographer

When Jake texted me about a maternity session for his wife, Rebecca, I was thrilled. Jake loves his wife and thinks she is absolutely beautiful. When she's pregnant, multiply that by 100!! It is the cutest thing!! I think he glows as much, if not more than her! I hope I was able to capture even a percentage of this in the following images.

When we first started brainstorming about the session, I immediately started thinking of ideas. They wanted it at the beach, which is one of my favorite places to shoot. We had everything planned... wardrobe, different locations and times, everything! And then we were told otherwise. Because the clouds started rolling in as I was making my way toward St. Augustine... and they didn't let up. After some dinner and much consideration, we decided to head north to escape the storm (which took us further away from our planned locations). So we drove. We drove to Vilano and no change in the weather. We were already there, so we decided to just keep going. And go did we! We ended up in Ponte Vedra, just a couple miles south of Sawgrass. But the sky cleared and we arrived at the right spot.

After unloading the cars of children, gear and at least a week's worth of clothes for Rebecca, we trekked across A1A (fighting off the largest mosquitos I've ever seen, I might add) and found the spot. The right spot. A giant "E" in the sand told us so. Until we saw that, we thought our plans had been ruined... we couldn't get the shots we wanted, the weather wasn't coorperating, nothing really went as planned. And then we knew why. We had planned the shoot for the wrong location all along. And here are some of the shots in the "right" spot...
